Morning Meetings

In our school, each class begins the day with a Morning Meeting. This is a short, structured gathering where children and teachers come together to welcome one another, build positive relationships, and prepare for the day ahead.

Morning Meetings help to create a calm, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment. During the meeting, children may take part in greetings, discussions, games, mindfulness activities, sharing news, or reviewing the day’s learning.

These daily meetings support:

• positive wellbeing and emotional development
• communication and listening skills
• confidence and participation
• respect and inclusion
• a strong sense of classroom community
