Welcome!

What is the Parents’ Association (PA)?

Under the Educational Act 1988, the PA is to advise the Principal or BOM of any matter relating to the school and to organise a programme of events, in consultation with the Principal, to promote involvement of parents with the operation in the school. A copy of the guidelines are available on the National Parents Council website.

As per the guidelines, the PA is not a forum for complaint against an individual teacher, parent or child nor does it have a role in pursing individual complaints. Queries concerning individual students and/or teachers may not be raised through the PA, but should be processed through the school authorities.

What do we do?

  • We aim to develop an active partnership with the school authorities. We aim to ensure that parents are represented and can participate in the decision-making processes relating to the school and affecting their children.
  • The committee welcomes all new members and any suggestion for enhancing any of the events it runs or on how to improve the schooling experience of the students. Membership of the EPA is open to all parents or guardians of girls enrolled in the school.

The EPA meets in the evening about once a month. We are a hands-on group of volunteers whose aim is to encourage parents to meet and get to know each other in order to enhance the sense of community within our school.

We encourage you to contact us if you wish to have an issue raised or have suggestions for events for discussion at the next EPA meeting. Please contact us at PAeglantine@gmail.com with any queries you may have. Please include your name, your child’s name, class and your contact details with any correspondence.

Join Us!

We are always looking for volunteers. Please consider volunteering as representative for your class OR registering your particular skill or interest (Drama, Science, Art, Business, etc.) with the Parents Association so that the school community can benefit.
