Zoom with Samantha Barry

Our sixth class girls  were lucky to get the unique opportunity to have a Zoom Q n A with world renowned editor Samantha Barry. Samantha is a Cork woman, who at the time was the global editor of Glamour magazine and editor-in-chief of Glamour Magazine USA. 

Samantha told inspiring tales of rubbing shoulders with many well known celebrities but said that her favourite career moments included travelling with Michelle Obama and Amal Clooney on their campaign against child marriage. Her favourite issue of Glamour was sending a team to Minnesota to report on events through the eyes of five women of different backgrounds. Samantha is a hugely inspiring, and yet down to earth, role model for the girls who uses her platform to give voice to the voiceless; to promote the perspective of women for women and who wraps it all up in a glitzy and glamorous lifestyle with a glossy magazine cover!
