Visit from the Lord Mayor
We kicked off our school year with a special visit from the Lord Mayor Kieran McCarthy. Our junior classes welcomed the Lord Mayor to the school with “Beautiful City” and were delighted to see the solid gold chain of office.
The senior girls gave a beautiful rendition of Ireland’s Call – can you tell we’re excited for the world cup?
The Lord Mayor told the girls of his passion for Cork and its history, and encouraged them all to go on their own adventures and follow their own interests. We presented the Lord Mayor and his partner Marcelline with a hamper of Cork treats and he even joined us for one more song!
